Truro Farmers Market
History   In Season In Season
Truro Farmers Market was founded in May 1999 as a co-operative of local producers encouraged by Truro City Council and Carrick District Council.
With the help of John Roach (Quay Foods) the first markets started trading every Saturday in Tinnners Yard (now Tinners Court) and later moved to its present home on Lemon Quay. The co-operative has traded in the green and white stalls without a break to become part of the retail fabric of Truro. The Falmouth market followed the success in Truro and after a start at Princess Pavilions, found a permanent home on the newly pedestrianised area known as The Moor. Although a smaller market the friendly atmosphere is well supported by locals and the influx of summer visitors
